News and Upcoming Activities

Notes from the December 13 HOA meeting are available. Email sampsonaltadenahoa@gmail.com to request a copy of the meeting notes.

The Board of Trustees has prioritized the following action items in the New Year:
  • Key pad entry repair (both buildings)
  • Ceiling plaster repair in common areas (both buildings)
  • Removal of unclaimed property in common areas
The Board of Trustees will also be implementing the following policies, consistent with the Association's CC&R.
  • Pet Policy
  • Noise Policy
Finally, each resident will be asked to fill out a confidential Emergency Contact Form. In the case of an emergency, the Board of Trustees will need this information to better coordinate with Emergency Services such as Police, Fire Departments and Paramedics.

In the coming weeks and months you may notice repair technicians and contractors working around the building. These contractors have been instructed to communicate only with the Board of Trustees regarding common area matters. If you notice an issue that requires attention, please contact the Board.

Thank you for your cooperation as the Board of Trustees continues to improve conditions at the Sampson Altadena Condominiums!

December Newsletter

Dear Homeowners and Tenants of the Sampson Altadena Condominiums,

Below is the December newsletter from the HOA Board of Trustees:

HOA Newsletter is Now Online!
You can view this newsletter online at: http://sampsonaltadenahoa.blogspot.com

HOA Dues Direct Debit
Would you like your HOA monthly dues to be automatically deducted from your checking or savings account? The HOA Board is currently working to making this option available to all HOA members. Let the Board know what you think by emailing: sampsonaltadenahoa@gmail.com.

Roof Update
The roof of the Sampson was repaired recently and then inspected by the contractor who replaced it. If you notice a problem with ceiling leaks, please contact John Lopez, Operations Manager at: (801) 599-5483.

Mice Update!
We are having success on getting control of the mice, however we are still having an issue with the traps being removed from locations and tossed in the garbage. This costs the HOA additional fees for replacement and labor time.

Salt & Shovels
In preparation for this winter, salt and shovels have been placed at the entrances of each building. Please ensure that the shovels are not removed from this location, except for shoveling. Please help salt the walks on icy days by scattering salt across the sidewalk, and avoid salting the grass, as it can cause damage. Thank you.

Lighting Update
Interior and exterior lighting has been improved over the last 1-2 months. This will improve safety in the buildings, as well as deterring trespassing on our property.

Graffiti
Unfortunately, our property was recently the target of graffiti. Thanks to the Salt Lake City Graffiti removal service, this eyesore was promptly removed at no cost to the HOA! You can report graffiti to the Graffiti Removal Hotline: 972-7885.

Common Areas & Personal Property
Thank you to several unit owners/tenants for contacting the Board regarding personal property. The Board is deciding how best to proceed with the excess of personal property in building common areas. An official notice about this will be posted in the coming weeks.

Building Maintenance
John Lopez, Operations Manager is responsible for all common area building maintenance. Any jobs that require turning off the water, boiler, etc. must be scheduled with John at least 24-hours in advance. John is available 24-hours a day for emergencies as well. To schedule a water shut-off or in case of a water or boiler emergency, call: John Lopez, Operations Manager: (801) 599-5483.

Sincerely,
Sampson Altadena HOA Board of Trustees
